Kevin Griffin the Better Than Ezra frontman performed to a packed venue at the Music Box Supper Club on Friday January 24th.

If you have been to a BTE show you know that Kevin has a lot to say while on stage. Friday night was no different and the intimate atmosphere of the Music Box Supper Club fit Kevin perfectly. He greeted fans by letting us know that his luggage didn't arrive with him in Cleveland and he was wearing his drummer's shirt.

Very early on in the show Griffin began talking like Matthew McConaughey. It continued throughout the night and he stated that he was recently competing with friends and performing McConaughey impressions. Griffin later through in a Dave Matthews impression. I'd have to say both were very good. The evening continued with jokes, impressions and great music of course.

The first half of the show was acoustic. Griffin performed BTE songs including "A Lifetime', "Desperately Wanting", and "Dollar Sign". Griffin also performed a song he co-wrote for Howie Day titled "Collide" which was followed by an Oasis cover "Wonderwall".

One of my favorite moments of the show was hearing Kevin sing "Breathless". Taylor Swift sang this BTE song which was released in 2005 during a benefit in 2010, Hope for Haiti. Kevin talked about how excited he was to hear that Swift would be singing a song he wrote.

The second half of the show included more BTE songs a few more covers and Travis Aaron McNabb on the drums. Personally, I enjoyed hearing "King of New Orleans" and "Juicy". Many fans were excited to here "Stuck on Glue", a Sugarland cover that Griffin wrote for Jennifer Nettles.

Kevin also let everyone know that Southwest had called during the short break and his luggage would be delivered to the hotel.

The encore included "Pink Moon" a cover from Nick Drake and "Get You In". The night ended with a request from the audience "Roselia". Kevin announced that he would stick around after the show. I thought that was really cool. You don't hear of many artists offering a meet and greet after the show.
